“4 stars… an artfully constructed piece of children’s theatre, brimming with swift, episodic storytelling, engaging visuals and curious facts about life under the sea.”
– Sydney Morning Herald.
Octonauts Live! Operation Reef Shield was a spectacular underwater adventure led by Captain Barnacles, Kwazii and Peso as they burst onto stage in this larger than life tale along with their friends Tweak, Shellington, Professor Inkling, Dashi, as well as the Vegimals.
The mission: To save the Great Barrier Reef from the hungry Crown of Thorns Starfish before it was too late.
This stunning production had catchy musical numbers, an abundance of colour, singing, dancing – and who can forget those cool bubble machines! It was a lot more fun with a cheeky appearance from the grumpy coral and some pirate pie fun in the kitchen with Kwazii.
The Australian production was also an original piece of work crafted by our very talented Writer and Director, Theresa Borg! She visited the Great Barrier Reef to research the live production – that’s dedication!
