Following a huge start to the Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! tour in Perth over the weekend, promoters Life Like Touring, Lunatic Entertainment and Chugg Entertainment can now confirm the slew of hot Super Music Friends locked in to be part of the ride.

In Adelaide, DJ Lance Rock and the Yo Gabba Gabba! Gang will be stomping their feet like a Brontasauraus to the banging dance-floor rap of young local emcee and Triple J darling, Tkay Maidza. This Zimbabwean-born Adelaide girl has set airwaves alight with her debut song, Brontasauraus, and has been touted as one of the most sought after artists in the country.

Hobart’s Dark Mofo show will see Michael Quattlebaum Jnr’s whacked-out hip-hop alter ego, performance artist, poet and festival cohort Mykki Blanco join the gang for a super kooky appearance on stage.

The Melbourne show brings former Magic Dirt leading lady and local heroine, Adalita to share the stage with DJ Lance and friends. Coming to the fore with her recent second solo offering, All Day Venus, this smoldering chanteuse will be showing a softer side to her hard edge with the Gabba gang.

When the tour hits Sydney it’ll be time for locally based composer and musician, Marcus Whale to grace the stage. Sporting a multi-faceted live profile including the solo project Scissor Lock, and one half of pop ensembles Collarbones and Black Vanilla, we’ll have to wait to see what surprises this super music friend has in store.

Finishing up the adventures in Brisbane, three local guests will be playing over four days as part of the PowerKids Festival, bringing the Super Music Friends love! Hip shakin’ and hand jivin’, retro rock & roll four piece Little Odessa will light it up; along with vibrant, melodious indie rock four-piece, Shag Rock and alternative, pop-happy Cub Sport; the stage will be filled with joyful showmanship and energy.

There will be lots of singing and dancing, lots of DJ Lance, and lots of Brobee, the little green one, Foofa, the pink flower bubble, Muno, the red Cyclops, Toodee, the blue cat-dragon and Plex, the yellow robot. Plus, as usual, there will be some very special Dancey Dance guests at the party in each city!
